ABOUT 10D

“We should start an English pub in Hyderabad.”

Who would have thought that a casual statement made amongst friends over 2 decades ago would result in building the most popular chain of pubs in India.

Inspired by the statement made by close friends, Siraj and Renu, and foreseeing the enormous growth that Hyderabad (and the rest of India) was yet to experience, T. N. Mohan Ram Reddy, G. Vinodh Reddy, E. Prahlad Rao and G. V. Ramana knew that people would soon yearn for a break from their fast-paced routines.

The founders have always believed in adding pep to people’s lives and creating a lifestyle product that represents youth and vitality - and while doing so, teaching the public how to party responsibly. With a vision to combine the charm of an authentic English pub with the warmth of Indian hospitality, 10 Downing Street was founded in 1991 in Hyderabad. The first venture outside of Andhra Pradesh came in 1994 with a location at Pune. In 2006, the first 10D franchise opened its doors in Nagpur. There has been no looking back since then.

Offering a welcoming ambience, sophisticated interiors and an unrivalled menu, 10 Downing Street soon became an indisputable hit amongst executives, families and even the British Deputy High Commissioner (click to download Letter of Appreciation). One thing you can be sure of is that there is uniformity across all branches of 10D. The secret to 10D’s success over the past 2 decades has been to experiment with trends but never follow them. In fact, 10D was the first in India to introduce not only theme nights, but the popular Ladies Night, which has now evolved into a much-anticipated weekly event across most restaurants and clubs. It was this insight, that shifted the party atmosphere to mid-week instead of only on the weekend.

Today, the restaurant - affectionately referred to as 10D - continues to be an iconic and inviting landmark across India. Thanks to Mohan, Vinodh, Prahlad and G.V., whenever the desire to relax and reconnect strikes, there’s a spot at 10 Downing Street waiting for you.
